About Nordfor Sola Studio

Nordfor Sola Studio is a micro-enterprise photography business based in France, run by Loïs Pasquier. Created in 2025 with the aim of exhibiting and offering an authentic and personal vision of adventure, but also of telling stories.

The studio owes its name to an admiration for the Nordic region of Europe and the Arctic. Meaning "North of the sun" in Norwegian, this name symbolizes what happens in lands where the sun follows a radically different cycle than that of equatorial countries and where climate and natural phenomena shape the landscapes.

Loïs spent his childhood developing his sensitivity to nature in his grandparents' garden, a very special place in the Ardèche countryside, before settling in Lyon in 2022. He quickly developed a deep love for Scandinavia, its climate, its rugged features, and its breathtaking beauty. He then embarked on numerous trips to the far north, and, in a burst of enthusiasm for photography, he acquired his first camera at 19, just before his first trip to Iceland. It was love at first sight, and Loïs began searching for his own style, honing his eye and technique. Passionate about landscapes, he projects onto his photographs the intention of telling a story and inviting viewers on an authentic and emotional visual journey.

In the winter of 2023, to pay tribute to his grandfather Jean, a childhood hero who had passed away two years earlier, Loïs embarked on a 10,000-kilometer cycling journey from Lyon to Nordkapp, the northernmost point of Europe, in Norway – a journey his grandfather had completed fifty years prior. This trip marked a turning point for him and established his photographic identity.

On June 5, 2025, Loïs will exhibit her most accomplished work for the first time at Kafé Stockholm in Lyon. The exhibition, " Under an Arctic Sky, " recounts this cycling journey beyond the Arctic Circle.
