We are beginning our journey home. A month to travel back south, reunite with our loved ones, and gently emerge from this interlude.
It's hard to leave this place, even after just a few hours up there. It is, after all, the North Cape.
We move forward, but we often look back, as if to make sure that it's really real, that we actually went there.
We take the same route back to Olderfjord. The scenery is the same, but our perspective has changed. Our energy, meanwhile, is almost depleted. We're driving slowly, a bit aimlessly. Fortunately, the wind is pushing us this time.
Around us, the scenery is almost unreal. White hills stretching as far as the eye can see, soft, silent shapes. Not a sound, not a movement.
That's it, the Arctic: a frozen, suspended, lunar world.
And while we're pedaling, a question begins to grow: What now?
What objective will drive us forward now that the Cape is behind us?
