We wake up in a total fog. The banks of the frozen lake have vanished, erased by a thick white. Nothing seems to exist around us anymore, except this silence. A blank canvas, a blank page to write for our Finnish adventure. So, we set our wheels on the ice, with no other certainty than heading north.
The cold is biting. Little by little, we realize our naivety. There's more snow than expected. The forecast predicts a whole week of temperatures below freezing, with snow up to our knees, forcing us to slow down much more than we had imagined.
But our excitement doesn't diminish. We may be a little lost, but we know exactly where we're going.
